Giselle Bonet is an Entrepreneur and Influencer. She started the company Pinchili China Services Ltd in Hong Kong back in 2012. With services such as helping her customers search in China for qualified manufacturers, quality inspections, and shipping, she established a large customer base in the thousands that spans across 15 countries.

Today, she’s also teaching people globally how to import from China safely. She focuses on showing them how to do it keeping profit in mind. Having started her own business, she enjoys motivating entrepreneurs who are starting out. As a mother, she says if she can find time to start and run a business, she knows you can too.

Can you tell us about yourself, and what you do?

I’m the managing director of my company. I like to be involved in all the procedures and decision-making so that I guarantee my customers get the best service possible. I create high-quality services for importers.

I also have a love of marketing.  On my YouTube channel and Instagram, I share content to help people understand China and international business.

How did you create your brand? What was the idea behind it?

My brand came out of my personal experience. I started importing from China and ended up losing time and money. It turns out a lot of people go through that same experience. I decided I wanted to help others when I finally figured out a better way.

In turn, I now help people find the best-qualified manufacturers and make sure they choose products with good quality control. Also, the products are made before payments and offer fast shipping.

Having worked with national industries, government projects, and private companies, I’ve learned a lot. I also work with entrepreneurs, and our main markets include the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, and Spain.

We export Machinery, raw materials, and final products. Mostly we export Building Materials, electronics, home appliances, safety products, along with spare parts, clothing, and shoes.

How does your brand work?

We show people everything about China via our social media channels. Our purpose is to teach others how to do business with China, along with how to get the best prices for products, and how to import in the best time with the best cost.

We also show things like the architecture, food, history, entertainment and everything about this country that is very different for all of us. There’s so much opportunity.

What would you like to share with our audience that you feel is helpful?

My dream is to share my history with as many people as I can. I want to encourage them to follow their dreams or start over.  Today, when I look back, so many people called me crazy and told me that it was impossible for me to be successful in China. They said that with the business I was planning, it wouldn’t work. But, I kept believing that my idea was good, worked hard, and today I see I was right.

With honesty and hard work, we can reach our goals. Is not easy, maybe you’ll need to change part of the plan, but in the end with hard work and conviction, you will have what you want.

What challenges did you go through while working on creating your brand? Do you have daily challenges?

It’s a big challenge to live in China as a foreigner. Another challenge is being a woman in an industry that is 90% men. After 7 years of living here, I finally found my position and comfort in the ways that helped me most. Communicating is the biggest challenge. That goes for even those who speak English or Mandarin, it’s not always easy.

How do you manage your business finances? Were you funded?

I started to work when I was very young and always kept a savings account. I was able to open my own company with my own capital. Also, before I moved to China I sold my house and car. Other people also helped me invest. I came here with a business plan and a budget.

What’s your future vision for the brand? What’s your next level dream?

I’ll be releasing a book shortly, about importing. It’s called, “How to Import from China and the Best Secrets,” which is a nice step in my progress. I think it should be helpful. After 12 years of experience, I share my knowledge and the secrets of my business.
I’d like to open offices in other countries as well. Last year, I started to promote us in Brazil to provide our services in Portuguese, too. I dream of changing the world of imports from China as it is now, and make it easy and safe.

What message would you like to give to anybody who has a plan of creating something of their own and making a living through it?

My words are always focused on the goal. Don’t listen to people who tell you that you can’t do something. Be honest, learn as much you can every day about your business, and you will reach your goals.
